Object Of Study
Directed by: Raúl Alaejos
With: Raúl Alaejos, Patdlock Hendriksen, Nuka Hendrisksen, Hans Jensen
Robert Peary, an American explorer, believed over 100 years ago that the only way for a human to reach the North Pole would be to have children with Inuit to create a superrace that would combine Eskimo strength with Western foresight. Following in the footsteps of this theory, this cinematic essay sets out in search of this “superrace.”

“Object of Study builds a sense of authorship through characters and landscapes in a process of collective creation. Characters who, as objects of study, end up imposing themselves on the director’s intentions; the humility of accepting that reality is stronger than one’s ideas and one’s own perspective..”
