After graduating from the University of Paris 1 in 2006, Xavier Demoulin directed his first short film, "L'étang", in 2014. It won the Best Short Film Award at the FMK International Short Film Festival in Podernone, as well as the Afficionado Ficcion Award at the Bogota Film Festival.
