Tijana Mamula is a Serbian-Italian filmmaker based in the United Kingdom. Currently, she is engaged in a practice-based doctorate at Newcastle University, exploring the philosophical potential of literary adaptation. The Writing Box, her second narrative short, forms part of this project, as will her first feature: a hybrid, essayistic WWII fantasy titled Hotel Savoy.

A manipulative schoolgirl living in 1930's England convinces her parents to allow her to come to India. Upon her arrival to a secluded villa with only the company of a few other people notably, a young cook and Raissa, a young woman charged with her care, her stay becomes tumultuous as her lies bring chaos [...]
