Born in Ukraine, Erik Sémashkin moved to France in 2012. In 2021, his short film “Out” was selected at the Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris. The following year, he directed seven short films including House of Mice, which won the Jury Prize at the Tremplin Festival in Besançon, the Best Sound Design Award at the Makedonska 21 Festival in Belgrade, and Plastic Soldier, also selected in numerous festivals. Erik Sémashkin is currently a film student at Paris 8 University.
