Elsewhere

With both voices from the past and present-day interviews, Vibeke Bryld films scenes of life in Denmark’s north peninsula. The documentary is an ode to nature and local myth.

“The film unravels the metaphysical life in the area through myth, faith and superstition, as they arise in nature and in people marked by their attachment to the sea and to the land. It is a permanent universal story of looking for meaning and belonging.  An evocation of the invisible life of man, myth and nature, and its magical potential.” Vibeke Bryld

“With Elsewhere, I want to explore our profound need of connection between our natural environment and our history.” Vibeke Bryld
