He joined the VGIK in 1994 and released his first short film Levsha in 1999. It won the Best Student Film award at the Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival. In 2006, he directed the NTV series Stolypin&#8230; Forgotten Lessons, based on the short story by Eduard Voldarsky.
