He was later admitted to the <strong>&#8220;Fare Cinema&#8221; High Specialization Course in Film Directing<\/strong>, directed by <strong>Marco Bellocchio<\/strong> and led by the <strong>Manetti Bros<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>His short films have been screened at over <strong>150 national and international festivals<\/strong>, winning more than <strong>40 awards worldwide<\/strong>.<br\/>In <strong>2022<\/strong>, he was admitted to the exclusive <strong>CreatorsLab<\/strong>, where he filmed the Italian-Spanish short film <em>Las Memorias Perdidas de los \u00c1rboles<\/em> in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest under the supervision of legendary director <strong>Apichatpong Weerasethakul<\/strong> (Palme d&#8217;Or winner at the Cannes Film Festival).<\/p>\n\n<p>The short film had its <strong>world premiere at the 80th Venice International Film Festival (2023)<\/strong> dans le within the <strong>38th International Critics&#8217; Week<\/strong>, where it won the <strong>Best Short Film Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Subsequently, the short film was presented at prestigious <strong>Oscar, EFA, and Goya<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>qualifying festivals, such as the <strong>63rd Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival (FICCI)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>le <strong>47th Drama International Short Film Festival<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the <strong>22nd Tirana International Film Festival<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the <strong>29th Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and the <strong>35th S\u00e3o Paulo International Short Film Festival &#8211; Curta Kinoforum<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>and was preselected for the <strong>2025 Goya Awards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>In <strong>2025<\/strong>, he was selected for the <strong>Locarno Spring Academy<\/strong>, where he directed the short film <em>Le Mur du Son<\/em> under the guidance of <strong>Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel<\/strong> ((Berlin Film Festival winners). The film premiered at the <strong>78th Locarno Film Festival<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>In the same year, he directed the short documentary <em>Le Geometrie del Vuoto<\/em> for the <strong>Schiattarella Associati<\/strong>architecture firm. Filmed between Italy and Saudi Arabia, the documentary was screened as part of an exhibition dedicated to the firm at the <strong>19th Venice Architecture Biennale<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>In <strong>2026<\/strong>, his short film <em>Primo Sangue<\/em> (winner of production grants from the <strong>Ministry of Culture<\/strong> and the <strong>Calabria Film Commission Foundation<\/strong>) was presented at the <strong>74th Trento Film Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>He is currently working on his feature film project <strong>Demoni &amp; Polvere<\/strong>, developed in the <strong>InProgress 2024<\/strong> lab by <strong>Milano Film Network<\/strong> under the guidance of <strong>Michelangelo Frammartino<\/strong> (Jury Prize winner at the 2021 Venice Film Festival) and selected for the <strong>Unbox section of the 2025 MIA Market<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>At the same time, he is co-writing the Italian-Filipino feature film <em>I Have to Fuck Before the World Ends<\/em> by <strong>Andrea Benjamin Manenti<\/strong>, winner of the <strong>MIA Development Award for Outstanding Film Project<\/strong> and the <strong>Asian Gen-Z Award Special Mention at the 2025 Tokyo Gap-Financing Market in Japan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A cinema graduate of Roma Tre University, Antonio La Camera trained at the Sentieri Selvaggi school and the &#8220;Fare Cinema&#8221; advanced course directed by Marco Bellocchio.
